They say a phone call can change your life! I was ready to pack my bags and leave for London to join the MBA program at London Business School. Over the last eight years, I had the chance to study and work in the most vibrant cities around the world, New York, Zurich and my darling Mumbai (\u201cmeri jaan\u201d).  London, with its rustic charm and zesty culture was going to be a new empire.  But then..Ring Ring! We had come a long way from pitchers of lychee mojito at Hoppipola, Sunday \u201cknights\u201d at Three Wise Men and the crazy Niffler acquisition party at Light House caf\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been involved with Mudrex since its inception. I was starting out in crypto and was in constant talks with Dul, Prince and Goyal about all things crypto and Mudrex\u2019s vision and growth. I remember sending out an excel with examples of calculations of time series metrics (performance, risk etc.), understanding the product and discussing possibilities of working together sometime in the future over the mythical \u201cDul barbecue soiree\u201d. From being an early adopter to joining as an early member of the team, the journey has been spectacular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure people remember Suits, the TV series: busy busy makin\u2019 money. It made me fall in love with the idea of wearing classy suits, working on Wall Street and living the banker life. Now, having been a trader for the past 10 years, 8 of which were for a bank, I feel I am over it! The idea of working and building something meaningful with friends you know and respect, had never struck. Yoda said \u201cTry not. Do, or do not. There is no try.\u201d I don\u2019t believe in luck but I do believe all my decisions have led me to be doing what I am doing with the people who I am doing it with and feel awesome about it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been a lot of firsts here at Mudrex and I am sure there will be many more. From building a hedge fund from scratch to closing the first client, from boarding close to a hundred flights in a year to raising $30 million, from starting OTC desk to hitting our first $10 million in volume, the list will keep growing.\u00a0 When you haven\u2019t taken a break for 3 years and still get up with the same energy to go to the office on a Sunday, you know you are at the right place with the right people. Happiness is having a co-worker become your friend, elation is having your friends become your co-workers. We are not afraid of failures, because we are not afraid of trying. I hope we all find courage to take that first step towards something new, something bold and something far. \u201cTwo roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less travelled by\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
