Vitalik Buterin

If you are into the crypto space, you must have heard about Ethereum or the Ether token (ETH). Vitalik Buterin, a Russian-Canadian developer was one of the co-founders of this amazing blockchain network called Ethereum. He, alongside his other co-founders, Gavin Wood and Joseph Lubin, laid the foundation for Ethereum at the age of 20, making him one of the youngest, richest, and most influential people in the crypto space.

Vitalik Buterin co-founded Ethereum in 2014 to overcome the shortcomings of the Bitcoin blockchain protocol. He believed that the native scripting language used in the development of blockchain technology was serving as a limitation to the use of the technology beyond payment solutions. He wanted to create a blockchain system that supports and helps in the development of decentralized applications also known as dApps. Vitalik was also a dropout from the University of Waterloo after having received an award of a $100,000 under the Thiel Fellowship grant for innovators under the age of 23.

Vitalik was also the co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine prior to co-founding Ethereum. After having created the white paper on Ethereum, Vitalik shared it with his acquaintances and friends. The idea started getting traction soon, and was presented in the Miami Bitcoin forum in 2014. The idea represented by him during the forum is what we call the Ethereum blockchain system today. People often look for Buterin coin. However, there is no such crypto asset that we know of currently. The only coin created by Vitalik Buterin is Ether (ETH), the native token of Ethereum.
