While gumption is about taking initiative and being willing to act boldly, perseverance is about staying the course even when faced with setbacks and obstacles. Without one the other is like a lion without teeth … hardly a lion that can be brave!

The ability to take risks and make tough decisions can help us navigate uncertainty and adapt to changing circumstances. But at the same time, we need to persevere toward our long-term goal and stay focused and committed as things get difficult.
