- The Clarity Act may miss its Senate vote; Lawmakers remain divided over crypto ethics rules, especially enforcement and Trump’s reported crypto profits. Banks are also opposing stablecoin yields, while prosecutors object to developer protections under the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act. With only five days left, the bill’s chances of passing are fading quickly.
- Crypto isn’t having a good earnings call season. Coinbase revenue fell 19% to about $1.2 billion, while its net loss widened to $359 million. Strategy reported an $8.22 billion loss, mainly from unrealised losses on its Bitcoin holdings. Robinhood posted record overall results, but its crypto revenue fell 38% to $100 million.
- The 2026 FIFA World Cup generated about $20 billion in blockchain prediction-market volume and $24 million in digital collectible trades. More than 400,000 wallets participated, with $5.7 billion wagered during the tournament itself. World Cup markets made up roughly 63% of all prediction-market activity during those five weeks.
