Firo

Firo (FIRO), formerly called Zcoin, is a decentralized privacy-preserving protocol that enables secure and private transactions on the blockchain.

The vast majority of blockchains are pseudonymous: although nobody's identity can be revealed, everyone can still see the addresses between which the transaction took place. Firo uses advanced tech called zero-knowledge proofs to ensure transactions are wholly anonymous.

The way this works is that Firo allows you to burn your coins, essentially destroying them and getting rid of their transaction history. You can later redeem the same amount of freshly minted coins with no transaction history. Or you can grant someone else the right to redeem them, essentially sending them that amount.

Firo has a total supply capped at 21.4 million, which makes it deflationary. As we get closer to the maximum supply, it gets scarcer and scarcer, making it more valuable.

Firo is solving a real-world problem, which means it's likely to grow in value in the future.

Competition: FIRO faces competition from other privacy-focused blockchain projects like Zcash and Monero, which could make it difficult for the token to stand out and attract users.

FIRO's current price is almost 99% lower than its all-time high that it reached six years ago, and there's hardly any sign that it will reach that high again. It's also down 10.35% over the last year.
